On Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 9:30 pm in HALA 100 (Hrvatske mornarice 4, Split), the circus collective Tricycle Trauma will perform the emerging play “Iskrenje: duo drama for man and trapeze”.
Tricycle Trauma is staying at the residence in HALA 100 from July 26 to August 2, during which it will continue to work on the production of the play, which began in March 2020.
Ivana Pedljo, with the direction and dramaturgy of Marijana Matoković and the design of light and sound by Jasmin Dasović, explores the possibilities of working with the trapeze through a politically and socially engaged concept about which the collective says:
“In an arena bounded by systems of politics, labor and mass culture, meet your opponents. In this conflict of the new age, dare to defy the state of emergency with the machinery of thought. On the periphery, accept the call for self-establishment of man.”
Admission is free, and seat reservations are required (due to limited audiences and prevention of the spread of COVID-19 disease) via the form.
The residence and performance of the emerging play is realized through the project “Circus Residential Network” which ROOM 100 implements in cooperation with Cirkorama and Circus Collective with the aim of providing residential and performing support to contemporary circus artists from Croatia and the region. The residency and WIP performances are realized with the technical assistance of the Multimedia Cultural Center Split and Platforma Doma mladih.
The programs in HALA 100 are implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Split. The work of the ROOM 100 collective was supported by the Kultura nova Foundation.
